This library is the web home of a priestess, Jani Farrell-Robert. an investigative journalist who has produced for Frontline, Dispatches and other major TV programs. She shares her sometimes dangerous investigations into the White House, the arms trade, vaccination, diamond mines and much more. She tells especially of the spiritual beliefs behind her work, of the spiritual tools of her people, of the instinctive pagan ways, the sacredness of nature and of our people's mystics , many Christian, who believed wisdom came from within, of her green wise craft and of the ancient celtic and pre-celtic lore of her people of the wild Atlantic coastal lands. Her Craft and the mystics taught her to love and care for other fellow creatures by becoming more in tune with nature, listening closely to instincts. You can also learn of the Aboriginal peoples of Australia with whom she spent many formative years. Read how she was taken to the women's sacred sites at Uluru. Read how she is now working with others to protect forests and sacred places in her own land, in Lyminge Forest and elsewhere on her personal What's Happening page.

This library and living space is based on her boat of sacred oak and sweet smelling cedar, built in the 1930s by Elco in Rhode Island, US, but now moored near Greenwich on the Thames; -thus the water picture gallery. Her home moves as she does to the rhythms of the moon, afloat on the tides of the western isles. It is regarded, at least by the children who visit, as a truely magical place.

Jan writes for major papers, has lived for years with Australian Aborigines and has authored several books on their struggle in Australia. She learnt much from the Aboriginal Elders with whom she worked and travelled widely in the outback. She has written on medical negligence, the international diamond trade, intelligence operations and on the arms trade, on RTZ and other mining companies. Some of this work is in this library - together with selections from other writers.

The aim of the library is to support with research and other materials the efforts of friends who are fighting to make this a more just, sustainable and balanced world.

It is also to support those who are seeking spiritual wisdom, for those who believe we share a common Parent, who wonder at the marvels of the world we inhabit and treasure it as a precious gift. Here find links to contemplatives, mystics, of many different paths - to many a wise woman or man..

The Library is also dedicated to those fighting for personal freedom, for the end to discrimination and to sexism, and especially to those who find in pain they were assigned to the wrong gender. Find out how this could happen. Read also how a journalist tackled a personal demon much more frightening for her than any investigation she undertook for the BBC. Read the story of the "cowardly lioness."

It is also for the vaccine damaged, their parents and friends, for those worried about 'mad-cow' disease, for all those damaged by careless medicine, factory farming, pesticides and other pollutants. It will from early 1998 also contain new material on vaccine contamination due to wild monkeys being used unnecessarily thus exposing humans to alien viruses now seriously suspected to have a role in thousands of human cancers. This is the subject of a film she co-produced for Channel 4's Dispatches.

This library contains something of what its creator has learnt of life, some of the background documentation behind her written or television work - and some of sources she have found valuable. Hope you find them useful!
